Tennis Bracelet Guide: Choosing the Right Width and Length

How to measure your wrist and choose the width, length and clasp for a moissanite tennis bracelet.

A tennis bracelet is a continuous line of stones, designed to sit neatly around the wrist. Width and length decide how it looks and feels.

Measure your wrist

Wrap a strip of paper or a soft tape measure around your wrist, just above the wrist bone, and note the length. Add 1 to 2cm so the bracelet sits comfortably and can move a little. Most women's bracelets fall between 16cm and 19cm; if you are between sizes, go larger for a looser drape.

Pick a width

  • 2 to 3mm: fine and delicate, easy to stack with watches and other bracelets.
  • 4mm: a balanced classic that works by itself or layered.
  • 5 to 6mm: a bolder statement with more visible sparkle.

Check the clasp

A tennis bracelet is only as good as its clasp. Look for a box clasp with a secure catch and, ideally, a safety fitting, so it stays on if the main catch opens.

Wearing tips

Wear your bracelet last when getting dressed, take it off for exercise and washing, and store it flat or in a pouch so the links do not tangle. Our care guide has more.
