Moissanite is a lab-grown gemstone with a refractive index of about 2.65 (diamond is 2.42), a hardness of 9.25 on the Mohs scale (diamond is 10), and a dispersion of about 0.104 against diamond's 0.044, so it throws more fire in the light.

Wonderfully fine, gold-plated on silver. The gold is very thin and fades a bit after a few months if you don't take the ring off when washing. But that's fine for me, I like the brighter gold.
